Conscia was formed out of a perceived need within the traditional ‘web development’ market to offer skills and services based around software database expertise and design and branding expertise.

Founded in 2005 and based in Central Scotland, Conscia specialises in providing premium web applications, website design, e-commerce solutions and mobile solutions. This is achieved, partially, due to our pragmatic approach to technology, i.e. ‘use technology’ rather than ‘led by technology’. The company was founded by Jim Burke and Mark Buchner. Jim offers over 25 years of software development experience across a broad range area, though most specifically, database design and development. Mark has over 15 years of enterprise level systems development, architecture, planning and consultancy experience. Both directors have operated within a range of working locations including Belgium, France, Germany, Holland and the United States
