The internal catering within the council area was decentralised and inefficient to operate, with high wastage levels. Conscia developed a system to centralise all catering, not only for ordering, but also fulfilment by catering management. Clients can login and select from preset menus and options and also book in repeat patterns / locations. Orders are triaged by administrative catering staff and assigned to catering kitchens depending on location and availability. The system allows the administrators to manage menus and prices through an intuitive interface.
Departments and facilities throughout the council now have an easy ‘Special Catering’ system. The catering managers use the same system for assignment and fulfilment. Wastage and inefficiency is dramatically reduced, as are the incidences of duplicate and cancelled bookings.
